David Clementz

June 2, 1951 — November 15, 2024

McKinney, Texas

David Clementz was ushered into the arms of Jesus on November 15, 2024. We are comforted in knowing that he is in the presence of his glorious Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dave was born in Chicago, IL. on June 2, 1951. When he was eight years old his family relocated to Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Dave enjoyed his childhood-to-adult years in Glen Ellyn, with fond memories of his friendship with his father, Philip, and piloting airplanes together. He later moved on to raise a family in Naperville, Illinois. Several years after retirement, in 2021, he moved with his family to northern Texas.

At an early age Dave had become interested in flying airplanes and obtained his pilot’s license, at the age of 16. He tested and received his pilot’s license before obtaining his driver’s license. Dave was an exceptional gymnast and participated on the gymnastics team at Glenbard West High School, where he did the bars and rings. Dave’s career was multifaceted. He was licensed in heating and air conditioning. His natural engineering skills and his honest approach laid the foundation in which he launched his own business, Argon Services. His business was successful when he realized he could market himself differently from the rest, and was subsequently inundated with more business than he could have dreamed of. He also held positions at Wescom, BRK electronics, and finally Prince Castle, as a Procurement Analyst & Buyer of engineered products for over 30 years, retiring in 2015. Dave was an avid storyteller with a keen sense of humor and enjoyed sharing stories with family and friends. His interests spanned a variety of activities, including, piloting small aircraft, building and flying model airplanes, and immersing himself in music of all genres. In his youth, he worked at a small airport where he washed planes in exchange for flying lessons. A passionate guitar player and concert-goer, he had a particular fondness for the Eagles, attending their concerts, collecting their albums, and following their journey since the '60s.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Maricruz, and his loving daughters Kara (Nathan) Bales, Gabriella (Dave) Woldman. Sisters Johanna Aldrete and Carol Styrsky, and five grandchildren, Owen Bales, Lukas Bales, Maxwell Bales, David Woldman and Nicolaas Woldman. He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Mary Alice Clementz.
