Bruce Parsons, a U.S. Air Force veteran who bravely flew two tours of duty in Vietnam as a Phantom F-4 pilot before ending his military career as a Captain, passed away surrounded by love on October 28, 2025.
An engineer and computer scientist, Bruce was known for his brilliance and sharp wit and his fondness for a challenging game of Sudoku. He loved God, his family, and his church community deeply, and his faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His subtly sharp sense of humor and sound, wise advice will live on with his family and friends.
A football and NASCAR enthusiast, Bruce could be found on Sunday afternoons relaxing after worship—snacking on sliced cheese and raisin bread, dozing in his favorite chair with one of his cherished pups beside him, cheering for his favorite teams or watching a great race.
Bruce shared 41 beautiful years with his beloved wife, Kathy. Together, they enjoyed attending horse shows, antiquing, and traveling to visit historical sites and family in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New Mexico. He had a soft spot for hot chocolate and was known to sneak in a burger or a Subway sandwich when no one was looking.
Bruce was deeply devoted to his children, Scott Parsons and Kelli Ruiz; his stepson, Neil Duran; his grandchildren, Tiffany Ruiz and Anthony Ruiz; and his great-grandchildren, Ja’Corey and Justyce Coulter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Kenneth Parsons, and his sister, Marylee Signorelli. He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and many dear family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
