Brian R. Gibson, age 64, of Princeton, Texas, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2026. He was born at Malden Hospital in Malden, Massachusetts on August 22, 1961. Brian attended Medford High School and later completed a vocational program through General Electric to become a machinist. He worked for Innovent Technologies for the majority of his career, retiring this past August. A true New Englander at heart, his loyalty to his teams never wavered. Whether they were winning championships or breaking his heart, he stood by the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins with a relentless passion that defined the spirit of a lifelong fan. He took great joy in the New England outdoors, traveling across the region with his family to discover new campgrounds and create lasting memories around the campfire. In his younger years he enjoyed playing volleyball and golf. He inherited a love of woodworking from his father, turning raw wood into treasures for both his home and the people he loved. Brian and Diane had just made their retirement dream a reality, selling their home in Massachusetts and moving south to Texas to begin a new chapter together.
He is preceded in death by his father Roy Gibson, his mother Vivian Gibson as well as his beloved brother Dennis Gibson. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Diane Gibson; his three children, Kristin Doucette and her husband Joel of Fremont, NH; Zachary Gibson, and Aiden Gibson, his cherished grandchildren, Connor and Mikaela Doucette; his siblings, Marge Marsh; Doug Gibson and his wife Trisha; his sister-in-law Sandra Gibson as well as many nieces, nephews, family & friends.
