Brenda Starr

Brenda Starr, 72, of Lone Oak, Texas, spent her final days surrounded by family and loved ones until she passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Brenda was born March 20, 1954, in Pasadena, TX, to E.R. and Maxine Grimes. She was raised in Garland, TX, and graduated from Garland High School in 1972. She began her career at Southwest Airlines in 1978, where she made friends that became family and memories to last a lifetime. She retired after 37 years to her little piece of heaven on earth with a lakefront view in Lone Oak, TX.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Tim Starr; daughter Brooke Bitner and her husband, Jimbo; son Clay Starr; grandchildren Grayson, Presley, Cooper, Jayce, and Bonham; along with her siblings, and numerous nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, E.R. Grimes, and Maxine Ferguson Grimes, and her son, Eric.

Her welcoming and fun-loving spirit will live on in our cherished memories, keeping her light alive in our hearts forever.

A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, November 7, 2026 at 10:00 am at Charles W. Smith & Sons funeral home in Sachse, TX.
