Brandi Nicole Hipkins, 37, of Irving Texas, passed away unexpectedly on April 19th, 2023 after a fatal asthma attack.
Brandi was born on September 6th, 1985 to Todd and Ki Hipkins at St. Pauls in Dallas Texas. She grew up in Rockwall Texas and graduated from Rockwall High School in 2004.
After high school, Brandi worked many jobs, two of which were her favorite; Kids Country Day Care Center and Kroger Grocery, where she made many friends.
In 2005, Brandi met Chris Reed through a mutual friend and it didn’t take long for the two of them to hit it off. Brandi and Chris went on to have two beautiful girls, Aubrey Lynn (2006) and Ki’ra Ann (2008). Though they chose to ultimately go their separate ways, they remained great friends and co-parents.
Brandi was such a fun spirited person that thoroughly enjoyed making the most out of life. She loved to spend her time surrounded by friends and family. Her hobbies included vacationing with family, shopping, going to amusement parks, swimming, and anything that had to do with water.
Growing up Brandi never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh with her playful sense of humor. She has always been incredibly caring and kind to those around her; with a need to protect and defend the ones she loved. Brandi loved a good party and never liked to miss an event, even though she would most likely be late.
Brandi was predeceased by her maternal grandmother Melba Blevins, paternal grandparents Charlie and Darlene Hipkins, aunt Tracy (Hipkins) Harger, uncles Grant, Cody and Keith Hipkins.
She is survived by her beloved daughters Aubrey and Ki’ra, mother Ki Thompson and dad Paul, her father Todd Hipkins and wife Joy, sister Casey Worden and husband Kevin, brother Keith Hipkins and wife Rachel, step-sisters Michelle, Tabatha, Heather and Ashley, her nieces Payton and Addison, nephew Jax, her grandfather L.H. Blevins and wife Sue, Aunt Shareasa Hobble and husband Mike, Aunt Georgette, Uncle Pierre, Aunt Dixie Halstead and husband Terry, Aunt Terri Burke and husband Tom, and a long list of cousins, extended family, and friends.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 7th, at 2:00 PM at Charles W Smith & Sons Funeral Home - 2925 5th St, Sachse, TX 75048.
Brandi leaves behind encouraging words of wisdom on her social media accounts reminding everyone to ‘live everyday like it’s your last’.
She will be forever missed but always loved. Until we meet again.
