Our beloved father, Billy Joe, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday October 18, 2025, at the age of 82. He was a devoted husband to his spouse Rose until her death in 2017. They would have been married 62 years in December.

Bill was born in Springfield, IL on July 30, 1943. He enjoyed attending car shows with family and friends, collecting and listening to old vinyl music, reading and telling stories to all that would listen.

He is survived by his children (Elizabeth, Janice, Terri (spouse Frank), and Jeff {spouse Tonya); grandchildren Nick (spouse Amber), Jennifer (spouse Danny), Kim, and Ashley (spouse Aubrey); great grandchildren Brennan, Sylvia, Joseph, Seth, Nora, and Emelia; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill is preceded in death by spouse Rose, parents Bruce and Emma, and siblings Joann, Jack and Larry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Charles W Smith and Sons in McKinney, TX from 5-7. Funeral services will be held at Wilson Cemetery on Friday, October 24,2025, at noon. All who know Bill are invited to join in celebrating his remarkable life and to share memories and stories.
