Ben D. Pignataro, 84, of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.
Born on November 8, 1941, to Albert and Ida Pignataro, Ben lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, laughter, and a deep love for his family and friends.
Ben enjoyed a long and successful career spanning more than 30 years, ending his career as National Sales Manager for Capezio. Throughout his career, he earned the respect of colleagues and customers alike through his leadership, integrity, and ability to build lasting relationships.
Outside of work, Ben was an active member of the Lions Club and believed strongly in giving back to his community. Known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and love for a good party, Ben had a remarkable ability to bring people together and make everyone feel welcome.
Ben had a lifelong passion for animals, especially dogs, and his beloved dogs were like family to him. He cherished their companionship and the unconditional love they gave him, and they brought him endless joy throughout his life. He was also an enthusiastic car lover who appreciated both classic automobiles and the friendships that came with the hobby.
Ben was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Pignataro. He is survived by his children,
Todd F. Pignataro (Kris), Michael D. Pignataro (Veronica), and Paula Quintana (Jerry); his stepson,
Jeff Doyle (Debbie); his sister, Kathy Griffiths (Bill); his brother, Mike Pignataro; his grandchildren, Christie Armbruster (Kris), John Pignataro (Brittane), Rachel Mantor, Ashley Mauchley (Tyson), Rodger Mantor (Lexi), Michael Pignataro (Megan), Ross Mantor, Katie Pignataro, Daniel Quintana, Micah Sanford (Austin), Isabella Pignataro and Colin Doyle (Stephanie); and 12 cherished great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, countless friends, and all whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
Ben will be remembered for his generous heart, his gift for leadership, his love of laughter, and the way he made every gathering more memorable simply by being there. His legacy lives on through the family he loved the friendships he cultivated, the dogs he adored, and the example he set of living life to the fullest.
A memorial service celebrating Ben’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 315 N McKinney, at 3:00 p.m. on August 1, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate his remarkable life.
