Alice Tabraham, age 83, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024 in McKinney, TX. She was born
March 1, 1941 in Galveston, TX to Marvin and Alberta (Coon) Green. Alice grew up and graduated high
school in Van, Texas where she was a proud member of the Van High School class of 1959. She married
Herb Tabraham in February 1960; they had two sons, Dan and Darren.
Moving to the “big city” of Dallas, she spent her professional career as a legal secretary with several
Dallas firms. Alice’s sons and grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life. Her favorite people called
her NiNi. She loved watching movies with friends, cooking, baking and poured herself into making events
special for her loved ones. For many years, Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church of
Lewisville where she enjoyed singing in the Chancel Choir, participating in the 50+ group, and especially
loved serving the children of Vacation Bible School welcoming them at the registration table.
Alice leaves behind her sons Dan Tabraham and Darren Tabraham, granddaughter Avery Tabraham, and
grandson Noah Tabraham. She is also survived by sister Avonne Tetrick, brother John Green and wife
Pat, and sister June Person and husband Doug, and her wonderful extended family.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 11am at First United Methodist Church
(FUMC) of Lewisville (907 W. Main Street) with Pastor Chris Schoolcraft officiating. In lieu of flowers, the
family is requesting donations be made to the FUMC Lewisville Permanent Endowment Fund in Alice’s
memory or to Agape Sunday School Class of FUMC Lewisville.
