Beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Adele Elaine Martin went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 16, 2026, at the age of 83.
Adele is lovingly remembered by her three sons, Darrell and wife Ana, Jeff, and Brian; her four grandchildren, Alex, Michael, Elena Janelle, and David; and her sister, Linda Cooper of Shawnee, Oklahoma along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, in 2018.
Adele attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where she met Robert, the man who would become her husband and share in the life they built together. Over the years Adele loved to craft and make ceramics as seen throughout her home. She also loved cooking and making desserts for her family and grandkids. One of the family's many jokes over the years was “Call WalMart Mom’s missing”. She devoted her life to caring for her family as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Her family was at the heart of her life, and the love she gave them remains a lasting part of her legacy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, at 12:00 p.m. at 2135 Chapel Lane, McKinney, Texas 75069. Reception following hosted by the family.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, kind words, and support during this difficult time. Adele will be deeply missed, but we find comfort in our faith and the promise of Jesus Christ that we will be reunited with her again.
